Season 11 / Episode 01: Edinburgh Manor, 3rd Eye Sensor
Third Eye Sensor
Have you ever had that feeling your being watched? For the Ghost Adventures episode at Edinburgh Manor we built a small device that acts like a “Third Eye” for the wearer.
Designed to monitor Movement behind the user. The device uses sonar to monitor movement and distance.
Using a small motor to create vibration the device will “tap” the user to let them know something is changing behind them.
At first we went for a collar design but we decided it was too bulky so we opted for a smaller clip on version. This allowed for the device to be sat on a table or object to monitor a location.
The finished “Third Eye” is very small just a bit bigger than a match box and only weighing 2 oz
An IR signal LED was added so any camera could see if the device was sensing movement.
This build took @ 65 hours to complete from concept, 3D print , electronics , assembly and test.
